Lauren Beneit - Clinical Psychologist

Lauren is a Clinical Psychologist, she completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at Curtin University. She is experienced in treating children, adolescents, and adults.

Lauren provides an environment for clients to reflect on their day-to-day experiences and consider how their thoughts and feelings have been impacted by earlier experiences. Lauren has experience in the public sector in both non-government and Department of Health settings.

Lauren is trained in a variety of therapeutic models supported by clinical research including:

+ cognitive-behavioural

+ schema

+ attachment

+ mindfulness-based approaches.

  Lauren's areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Childhood trauma and attachment difficulties

  • Transition to parenting

  • Life transition post injury

  • Grief and bereavement

  • Anxiety disorders (generalised, panic disorder, specific phobias, Obsessive compulsive disorder)

  • Depression and self-esteem

  • Situational difficulties (adjustment, workplace, relationship, etc)

Lauren is available to see clients aged 13 years and over.  Unfortunately, this practice does not prepare assessments or reports for use in family court.
